Ground-Segment IV&V Engineer - (CRISTAL / CIMR) (m/f/d) Ref. No. 26-84459

In this role you help deliver a multi-mission Ground Segment for CRISTAL and CIMR under the C3PO framework. You will oversee integration, verification and validation across interfaces, from components to end-to-end mission data processing. You’ll work with EUMETSAT teams and external partners to ensure consistency and traceability of verification activities. The position combines systems engineering, software, data processing and IV&V in a collaborative, cross-functional setting. • Plan, coordinate and execute Ground Segment integration, verification and validation activities
• Review requirements, specifications, design and interface docs and verification evidence
• Prepare and review test specs, procedures, data and reports
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, results and verification evidence
• Support formal testing activities including FAT, OSAT, TRRs and TRBs
• Participate in Test Executions and Verification Control Boards (VCBs)
• Prepare and maintain Verification Control Documents (VCDs)
• Ensure consistency between verification activities at Ground Segment, segment and subsystem levels
• Support software and hardware configuration, installation, deployment and integration
• Investigate anomalies and support corrective actions
• Review documentation from lower-level Ground Segment elements
• Participate in formal project reviews and follow up on RIDs
• Contribute to Ground Segment and System-level engineering activities
• Coordinate and support PGF OSAT environment, review PGF test docs and verification status
• Participate in TRRs, Test Executions and TRBs/VCBs, consolidate PGF verification status
• Support integration of PGFs with PDP and verification of CFEP and file reconstructor
• Assist CFEP test environment setup and formal testing
• Assist end-to-end testing of mission data-processing functions

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related
• At least 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering and IV&V at System and Ground Segment level, preferably within Earth Observation
• Proven experience with Ground Segment engineering and verification
• Experience preparing and executing integration and verification activities
• Experience preparing test specifications, procedures, data and reports
• Experience with requirements engineering, allocation and traceability, preferably using DOORS
• Knowledge of space and Ground Segment engineering processes and software lifecycles, ideally ECSS
• Knowledge of CCSDS / CFDP
• Experience with interface management and ICDs
• Experience with formal testing such as FAT, OSAT, TRR and TRB
• Experience with VCDs and verification-control processes
