Description
Our client is a global organisation which specialises in providing architectural design products to their clients across industrial spaces like architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, and media and entertainment.
Currently expanding, they are looking for an experienced Group Accountant to join their team in Germany.
Job Profile forGroup Accountant
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Own the full company accounting cycle, including general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, and monthly/quarterly/annual close in line with HGB and group reporting requirements
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and statutory filings
- Manage local treasury and payment cycles in coordination with the company’s finance team
- Define and maintain global standards for transfer pricing, working with teams across the company’s international entities to harmonise workflows, close process gaps, and drive automation in NetSuite and connected finance tools
- Manage the intercompany and transfer pricing positions across the group, working directly with external advisors in relation to the technical tax aspects of transfer pricing to ensure compliance with legislation
- Support the Accounting Director with process improvement across finance
- Suggest opportunities and ways of improving overall efficiencies and improved ways of working to enable a culture of optimisation
Candidate Profile forGroup Accountant
- Must be fluent in German & English, both written and spoken
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field
- Detailed knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation
- Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, or equivalent) is advantageous but not required if offset by strong practical experience
- Hands‑on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP, and comfort with finance tooling in a software product environment
- Able to operate confidently across the company’s multicultural, multi‑timezone teams
- Process‑improvement mindset, with the ability to step back from operational tasks, spot inefficiencies, and build scalable solutions that work across the group
