Group Information Security Architect

Munich | Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

The Opportunity

We are searching for an experienced Group Information Security Architect to join one of Germany's leading DAX 40 organisations in Munich.

This is a global position with significant visibility across the organisation. You will help shape the future Information Security architecture, working across international business units and partnering with senior Security, Technology and business stakeholders.

A key part of the position will be building and developing security capabilities from the ground up . We are therefore particularly interested in people who have previously helped establish new Security Architecture functions, departments, frameworks or operating models within complex organisations.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and develop the organisation's global Information Security architecture
• Establish security architecture frameworks, principles, standards and governance
• Help build and mature the Security Architecture function across the Group
• Develop global security architecture roadmaps aligned with business and technology strategy
• Work across international business units to establish consistent security standards
• Advise major transformation programmes from an Information Security perspective
• Review complex technology environments and identify architectural security risks
• Translate business requirements and emerging threats into practical security architecture
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, IT, Cloud, Risk and the wider business
• Support the development of new security capabilities and operating models
• Act as a senior security architecture expert for major strategic initiatives across the Group

Your Background

We are looking for someone with 7+ years of experience within Cyber Security / Information Security , including significant experience within Security Architecture.

You should bring:

• Strong experience within Information Security / Cyber Security Architecture
• Experience operating within large, complex and international organisations
• Proven global experience , working across multiple countries, regions or business units
• Previous experience building or developing Security Architecture functions, teams, departments or capabilities
• Strong knowledge of security architecture frameworks, governance and standards
• Experience working across areas such as Cloud, Infrastructure, Applications, IAM, Data and Enterprise Security
• Ability to communicate Security Architecture topics to both technical teams and senior leadership
• Strong stakeholder management skills within complex enterprise environments
• Experience developing security strategies, roadmaps and target architectures

Experience within a major enterprise, global organisation or highly regulated environment would be particularly valuable.

German is beneficial but not mandatory
