Role Description

The Group Leader Neuromorphic Systems will lead a team driving innovation in neuromorphic computing and systems. Responsibilities include project management, strategic planning, team leadership, research in neuromorphic circuits and architectures, and publishing scientific results. The role involves managing collaborations with academic, public, and industrial partners while identifying and securing funding for research projects. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Dresden.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in neuromorphic systems, circuit design, and architectures for AI and neural computing
  • Experience in managing interdisciplinary research and development teams
  • Proficiency in securing funding through research proposal writing
  • Familiarity with cleanroom processes and photonic/electronic microsystems technologies
  • Excellent project management and strategic planning abilities
  • Strong publication record and experience in scientific communication
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
