As a Head of Accounting (all genders) at GK – a global leader in retail innovation and part of the Fujitsu Group – you take ownership of our accounting function, stabilize existing structures, and build scalable, future‑proof financial processes across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Accounting Leadership & Structure
  • Lead and develop the accounting team (~10 FTEs) while ensuring clear responsibilities and efficient collaboration.
  • Stabilize the current accounting setup and establish sustainable, scalable structures.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all accounting‑related topics across the organization and subsidiaries.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
  • Own and manage group accounting processes, including consolidation across entities.
  • Review financial reports, identify inconsistencies, and ensure full compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Process Optimization & Transformation
  • Analyze existing accounting processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement structured improvements.
  • Drive the standardization and automation of accounting workflows and reporting structures.
  • Support and contribute to ERP‑related initiatives and system improvements.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate closely with Controlling, and other internal Departments and external stakeholders (e.g. auditors).
  • Provide clear financial insights and ensure transparency for management decision‑making.
  • Act as a sparring partner for senior leadership on accounting‑related matters.

What You Bring

• Strong experience in group accounting and financial consolidation.
• Proven expertise in preparing financial statements under IFRS and/or HGB.
• Solid leadership experience, managing teams of ~10 people.
• High system and tech affinity (ERP systems, ideally Workday or comparable).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify errors and structure processes effectively.
• Hands‑on mindset with the ability to stabilize and improve existing setups.
• Experience working in complex organizational structures with multiple entities.
• Nice to have:
  • Experience with IFR.
  • Background in transformation projects or ERP implementations.
  • Experience in Big4 or audit‑related environments.
