Stellenbeschreibung:

Reporting to: Group Engineering & Capex Director

Join The Compleat Food Group

The Compleat Food Group is one of the UK's leading chilled food manufacturers, supplying some of the nation’s biggest retailers

with a diverse portfolio of market-leading products. As we continue our ambitious growth journey, we're investing heavily in our

engineering capability, asset performance, and operational excellence.

We're now looking for an experienced Head of Asset Reliability to lead, develop, and embed a best-in-class reliability strategy

across our multi-site manufacturing network.

This is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for driving asset performance, reliability, maintenance excellence, and

engineering governance across the Group. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our manufacturing assets deliver outstanding

performance, supporting business growth through a structured, data-led approach to lifecycle management.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Engineering & Capex Director, you'll be responsible for developing and deploying our Strategic Asset

Management Plan (SAMP), creating a consistent and robust approach to reliability and maintenance across all manufacturing

locations.

You'll lead the Group's reliability agenda, driving improvements in preventative and predictive maintenance, reducing downtime,

improving asset utilisation, and ensuring our engineering standards and systems are aligned across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineering leader who thrives in complex manufacturing environments and wants to

influence operational performance on a national scale.

What You'll Be Doing

Reliability Strategy & Asset Management

  • Develop and lead the Group's Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP).
  • Define and implement a long-term reliability strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Create a standardised approach to asset lifecycle management across all sites.
  • Embed asset criticality frameworks to drive risk-based maintenance planning.
  • Lead structured root cause analysis and failure elimination programmes.
  • Build reliability improvement roadmaps and performance benchmarks across the Group.

CMMS Ownership & Governance

  • Take full ownership of the Group's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Drive consistency in system deployment, asset structures, reporting, and governance.
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and effective work order management.
  • Utilise CMMS data to influence reliability improvements, capital planning, and lifecycle decisions.
  • Develop meaningful dashboards and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Excellence

  • Establish and standardise preventative maintenance strategies across all sites.
  • Introduce and develop predictive and condition-based maintenance methodologies.
  • Continuously optimise maintenance plans using asset performance and failure data.
  • Improve preventive maintenance compliance, MTBF, and asset availability.
  • Ensure reliability principles are incorporated into all new equipment installations and capital projects.

Technical Standards & Supplier Management

  • Lead and develop the Engineering Technical Integration Manager.
  • Drive consistency in engineering standards, specifications, and technical governance.
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships with engineering suppliers and service providers.
  • Act as the central technical authority for engineering solutions implemented across multiple sites.
  • Promote standardisation and reduce unnecessary engineering complexity.

Asset Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and monitor Group-wide reliability and asset performance KPIs.
  • Drive reductions in unplanned downtime and reactive maintenance activity.
  • Support manufacturing sites in improving OEE through reliability-focused initiatives.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice across engineering teams.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Risk, Compliance & Technical Assurance

  • Ensure maintenance strategies support legal compliance and engineering safety requirements.
  • Protect food safety, quality, and product integrity through robust asset management practices.
  • Embed Management of Change (MoC) principles throughout engineering activities.
  • Provide assurance that asset-related risks are identified, managed, and mitigated.
  • Ensure engineering documentation, standards, and maintenance systems remain audit-ready.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in engineering reliability, asset management, or maintenance leadership roles.
  • Experience developing and implementing reliability strategies across multiple sites.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience owning and optimising CMMS platforms.
  • A thorough understanding of asset lifecycle management and reliability engineering principles.
  • Demonstrable success reducing downtime and improving asset performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience driving engineering standardisation and governance.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
