Head of Controlling EMEA

In this role you lead and continuously improve a robust controlling framework across the EMEA organization, combining strategic planning with hands-on process and system development. You act as a trusted partner to senior leaders to deliver fast, reliable, actionable financial insights that enable growth. You will simplify complexity in data, reporting, and planning to support scalable, data-driven decisions. This is a high-visibility leadership position with impact on profitability and governance.

• Design and continuously improve a robust controlling framework to support decision-making
• Build and standardize management reporting, KPI structures, and performance management processes
• Develop transparent profitability analysis by product, customer, business unit, channel, and region
• Ensure strong financial governance, cost control, and accountability across the business
• Drive the implementation and optimization of controlling tools, reporting systems, data models, and planning solutions
• Partner with IT and business functions to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and system utilization
• Lead the automation and digitalization of reporting, forecasting, and planning processes
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for management
• Establish scalable best-practice financial processes, controls, reporting standards, and data governance
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and long-term financial planning
• Own monthly forecasting processes and drive forecast accuracy
• Provide insights into revenue growth, margin development, costs, cash flow, and working capital
• Support investment evaluations, business cases, pricing decisions, and strategic initiatives
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and operational management
• Partner with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT leaders to drive accountability and operational excellence
• Lead monthly closing reviews and high-quality management reporting
• Analyze variances and present results, risks, opportunities, and recommendations
• Build and develop a high-performing Controlling & FP&A team
• Foster ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and business orientation

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance leadership roles
• Proven track record of establishing and improving controlling systems, reporting structures, and performance management frameworks
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similarly complex business environment
• Strong international business experience in a multinational organization
• Success in reporting standardization, planning excellence, automation, and financial transformation initiatives
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis
• Experience with ERP systems, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar), and reporting automation
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders
• Hands-on, execution-oriented, capable of shifting between strategic and operational detail
• Strong commercial mindset and business acumen
• Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage
