Head of Engineering (Platform)

Responsibilities

• Own and shape the tribe's roadmap with real autonomy
• Partner closely with product tribes to understand needs and translate into platform priorities
• Work with modern tools and technologies, influencing technical direction and stack
• Directly influence reliability, velocity, and quality of every product shipped

Requirements

• Ability to bridge strategic "why" with engineering solutions
• Strong interest in Upvest's product domains and a proactive desire to understand business use cases
• Experience in leading and growing larger engineering teams
• Prior experience in the Fintech domain
• Strong technical expertise in developing highly scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and resilient platforms
• Strong work ethic and principles such as pragmatism
• Security-focused mindset and a high sense of ownership
• Excitement to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment
• Experience with API-first and SaaS applications (great if you have)
• Experience building and running microservice-based event-driven distributed applications (great if you have)
