Head of Financial Markets and Risk Management

Forvia Interiors is looking for a Head of Financial Markets and Risk Management (Fx Transactions Manager) to be based in its Santa Maria da Feira offices in Portugal.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Fx Transactions Manager leads market-risk management activities, with a primary focus on foreign-exchange exposures and hedging transactions.

KEY MISSIONS

• Define and implement FX and market-risk management strategy.
• Identify, measure and monitor FX exposures across entities and currencies.
• Execute FX transactions and hedging instruments within approved limits.
• Manage bank relationships for market transactions and execution quality.
• Monitor market trends, rates, volatility and macroeconomic developments.
• Prepare market-risk reporting and hedging effectiveness analysis.
• Partner with Accounting, Tax, Controlling and local finance on hedging impacts.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, counterparty limits and internal controls.
• Maintain documentation, confirmations and audit trails for treasury transactions.
• Advise business and finance teams on FX risk and mitigation options.

Experience

10+ years of relevant experience in corporate treasury, financial markets, FX risk management or banking, ideally in an international industrial group.

EDUCATION

Master's degree or equivalent level in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Strong command of FX markets and hedging instruments.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Robust understanding of treasury controls and counterparty risk.
• Ability to communicate market topics clearly.
• Strong banking relationship capability.
• Fluency in English.
