Overview

As Head of IT & OT Operations you will lead the IT & OT Operations department at the Ladenburg site, driving digitalization, cyber security, and innovation in a manufacturing setting. You will implement global strategies locally, manage a 7-9 person team, and coordinate with external providers to ensure secure, reliable operations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of IT/OT infrastructure, security, and modernization projects. You will collaborate with global stakeholders to shape standards and governance while delivering measurable improvements in performance and resilience.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Lead and organize the IT & OT Operations department at the Ladenburg site, including coordination of external service providers
Implement global digitalization, cyber security, and governance strategies locally
Oversee maintenance, incident management, and the stable operation of IT & OT systems
Manage network, backbone, servers, storage, backups, and endpoint management
Oversee cloud systems and integrations (Microsoft 365, Azure) and telecommunications
Administer process control systems (e.g. ABB, Siemens) and support IT/OT integration in investments
Conceptualize and drive digitalization and innovation projects; support SAP/ERP/MES for process optimization
Provide technical consulting to Engineering; ensure security audits and disaster recovery planning
Ensure compliance with governance and standards in coordination with global stakeholders
Act as key project and business management contact; collaborate with Global Head of IT & OT Operations

Zentrale Anforderungen

Completed degree or vocational training in computer science, IT, computer engineering or comparable field
Strong experience in both IT and OT, ideally in production environments
Advantageous: experience in industrial plant engineering or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of SAP desirable
Strong leadership, initiative, and strategic thinking
Excellent communication, team orientation, and stakeholder management
Strong performance orientation and results focus
Very good written and spoken German and English
Leadership and organizational capabilities
