Head of Maintenance – Focus on Mechanics (m/f/d)

We are looking for a candidate to join an industrial company based in Duisburg as soon as possible as a Head of Maintenance – Focus on Mechanics (m/f/d).

What awaits you

Management and coordination of all mechanical maintenance and repair activities, as well as related projects, for the entire plant fleet
Coordination of planned measures with the production departments regarding scheduling, prioritization, and implementation
Ensuring smooth collaboration between mechanical and electrical maintenance teams as well as work planning
Responsibility for the further development of the electronic system for planning and organizing maintenance
Analyzing existing processes and equipment and identifying measures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance
Organizing preventive maintenance in accordance with relevant standards and legal requirements, and ensuring that inspections, calibrations, and certifications are performed on time
Ensuring that equipment maintenance complies with regulations and adheres to applicable guidelines on occupational safety, quality, and environmental protection
Updating the work and operating instructions required for the area of responsibility
Responsibility for personnel planning and continuing education within one’s own area of responsibility

What you should bring

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, in accordance with the specified job profile
Several years of leadership experience in mechanical maintenance at an industrial company
Practical experience in the strategic development and optimization of maintenance processes
Strong technical understanding and analytical skills in equipment assessment and troubleshooting
Independent and structured work style combined with a sense of responsibility, strong communication skills, and assertiveness
Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
Good written and spoken English skills
