Head of Market Data + Services Strategy and M&A (f/m/d)

In this role you shape the strategy and growth of Deutsche Börse’s Data Services business. You lead cross-functional, multi-region initiatives, including M&A and inorganic growth, to strengthen competitive position and profitable expansion. You will prepare senior-level analyses and drive strategic projects with impact on the data and analytics offerings. This is a senior, collaborative role with broad visibility and a strong mandate to influence the company’s trajectory.

• Lead strategy development for the overall business in coordination with Market Data + Services and Trading & Clearing strategy teams
• Identify and coordinate selective M&A opportunities and manage deal execution with Group M&A teams
• Lead strategic projects and initiatives focusing on inorganic growth and partnerships, including market and financial analysis and negotiations
• Prepare senior management level written decision proposals and analyses for internal and external executives
• Coordinate ancillary tasks such as financial planning, initiative tracking, and compliance/audit/risk activities as needed

• University degree in economics, finance or related field with excellent results
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Strategy, M&A or Finance, preferably in financial services consultancy/strategy/M&A advisory
• Strong teamwork and cross-department collaboration across continents
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with structured problem-solving and attention to detail
• Strong slidewriting, storytelling and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills
• Fluency in English; German is a plus
