Head of Opex - Site Global Operations Business System Lead

In this role you drive and implement Grünenthal’s Global Operational Excellence strategy at the Aachen Site. You lead cross-functional improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other OPEX methods, building capabilities through targeted training. You promote new technologies and best practices to boost efficiency and safety, while shaping the Business Operating System and sustaining a continuous improvement culture. You collaborate across regions to align standards and deliver measurable impact.

• Develop and implement the Global Operational Excellence strategy aligned with site goals
• Identify and execute process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other OPEX methods
• Lead training programs to build operations excellence capabilities and run workshops
• Promote adoption of new technologies and best practices to drive efficiencies
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement improvement projects
• Contribute to the development of the Business Operating System across site functions
• Monitor and optimize KPIs for critical initiatives
• Collaborate with regional/global colleagues to standardize operations
• Define and execute roadmaps for excellence and continuous improvement
• Foster a continuous improvement culture as trainer, coach, and role model

• Bachelor in related field with several years of production experience (Master preferred)
• Strong background in Operational Excellence
• Proven track record of implementing OPEX initiatives
• Advanced project management experience with Lean & Six Sigma and TPM deployment
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt recommended
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with MiniTab
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence stakeholders
• Fluent in English and German
