Head of Project Management / Delivery - Data Centres

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

An excellent opportunity for an experienced construction and project delivery professional to take on a senior leadership position within a growing team delivering complex, turnkey Data Centre developments.

Based in Frankfurt, this role will take responsibility for leading a team of Construction and Project Managers, overseeing the successful delivery of multiple Data Centre projects from a programme, resource and commercial perspective. The position would suit someone with a strong background in turnkey construction who combines hands-on project delivery expertise with the ability to lead, develop and motivate high-performing teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and manage a team of Construction Managers and Project Managers responsible for the delivery of turnkey Data Centre projects.
• Take overall responsibility for resource planning, workload allocation and team capacity to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Drive the successful achievement of project objectives across programme, cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Implement and embed Lean methodologies to improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce waste across project delivery activities.
• Develop and empower team members, encouraging accountability, ownership and independent decision-making.
• Support the ongoing performance and professional development of the team, identifying training and development opportunities where required.
• Act as a key interface with Technical Procurement and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and introduce new approaches that enhance both project performance and team effectiveness.
• Lead by example, communicating clear objectives and creating a collaborative, high-performance delivery environment.

Requirements for the position:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in construction and project management within a turnkey or design-and-build environment.
• Previous exposure to Data Centre or other highly complex, technically demanding construction projects would be highly advantageous.
• Experience leading and developing teams, ideally including direct disciplinary management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of construction delivery, cost estimation and relevant German construction regulations and contractual frameworks, including VOB.
• A confident and effective communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to make decisions and take ownership in a fast-paced project environment.
• Fluent German and English language skills are required.
