Head of R&D / Product Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

International Industrial B2B Group | Relocation to Berlin Area / open to commuting if easy

We are supporting a well-established European industrial B2B group entering a new phase of integration and transformation following a recent acquisition in Germany.

In this context, we are looking for a Head of R&D / Product Engineering Manager , ideally German & English professional speaker , French language being a plus , willing to relocate to the Berlin area , to take full ownership of R&D and Product Engineering operations at the newly acquired German Company HQ location -

this company develops premium water management systems for professional and public buildings, offices , premium and luxury hotels , ranging from high-quality taps and fittings to fully integrated solutions for the control, distribution and efficient management of water, combining functional design, precision engineering and advanced materials and mechatronics.

This role is suited for a hands-on engineering leader , capable of combining technical leadership, people management and structured execution , within a demanding industrial environment.

Your Mission

• Lead and structure R&D and Product Engineering activities at a German industrial company
• Manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians
• Drive product development, industrialization and continuous improvement
• Deploy robust engineering methods and project practices, inspired by advanced industrial standards- inspired by Automotive
• Act as a key interface between the German site and Group-level stakeholders in Europe , France
• Support post-acquisition integration and performance ramp-up

Your Profile

• Senior experience in R&D, Product Engineering or Development Engineering leadership
• Background in automotive or similarly demanding industrial environments
• Strong exposure to mechanical / mechatronic systems
• Proven ability to operate on site, close to products and teams
• Fluent English and German (professional level required) – French is a plus
• Willingness and ability to relocate to the Berlin area
• International mindset, pragmatic leadership style
