Head of Sales (f/m/d) Digital & Automation to drive forward the efficient management of the sales organization within our Digital & Automation Business Line and sustainably advancing profitable growth.

Choose the best place for your work – within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours. Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • You lead and develop a team of Business Managers, Sales Enablement Managers, and Customer Visit Managers with a strong focus on growth and operational excellence.
  • You ensure the achievement of business objectives and shape forward‑looking sales strategies together with the zones.
  • You drive the definition and implementation of strategic sales initiatives in close collaboration with Business Development and relevant interfaces.
  • You steer operational topics such as pricing strategies, escalation management, and value‑based business development within the sales organization to ensure a profitable business model.
  • You create and manage meaningful business reports, forecasts, and project reviews.
  • You collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders to achieve overarching company goals.
  • You are responsible for the design and implementation of sales enablement and training formats, as well as the continuous development of team competencies and mindset.
  • You ensure compliance with processes, policies, and governance requirements while fostering a collaborative culture.

Your qualifications and experience

  • You hold a university degree in business administration, medical technology, clinical sciences, or a comparable qualification.
  • You bring long‑term international professional experience, with a proven track record of working successfully across diverse cultures, markets, and business practices in complex global organizations.
  • You have several years of sales experience within the MedTech industry, ideally with a focus on Healthcare IT, including strategic market development, key account management, and the successful positioning of innovative solutions.
  • You demonstrate proven experience in leading and developing international teams, driving them toward sustainable business success by combining strong leadership with a clear focus on performance and growth.
  • You are highly internationally mobile and willing to travel (approx. 30%).

Your attributes and skills

  • You communicate fluently in English; German and additional languages are an advantage.
  • You bring strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop teams in a targeted and effective manner.
  • You demonstrate a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to analyze complex issues and translate them into clear areas for action.
  • You communicate confidently and adapt your messaging to different audiences, actively fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
  • You are highly results‑oriented and decisive, maintaining a clear overview even in challenging situations.
  • You possess excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to successfully align diverse interests.
