Batteries are becoming the backbone of the energy transition. Our client brings them to market.

On behalf of a venture-backed energy infrastructure company in Munich, we are looking for their first Head of Sales. Our client connects battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind and solar to European grid balancing and wholesale markets, from on-site integration to live market participation. The product is already live with some of Germany’s largest BESS assets, and the market pull is strong.

The founders have taken the company from zero to one. You take it from one to N: you lead the key deals yourself, shape the commercial strategy and build the team the way you think the market needs it. Direct line to the CEO, full ownership.

Your responsibilities

• Key Accounts: Lead the most important deals and partnerships personally
• Go-to-Market: Shape commercial strategy, pricing and marketing together with the founders
• Team Building: Hire and lead your own commercial team
• Market Feedback: Translate customer insight into product and positioning
• Visibility: Represent the company at industry events, on LinkedIn and across the ecosystem

Your profile

• Solid experience in B2B sales or business development with larger, complex deals
• Startup or scale-up experience and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Credibility with senior decision-makers at energy companies and investors
• Strategic thinker who still enjoys getting hands-on
• Fluent German and English
• A plus: experience in energy, BESS or flexibility markets
