Overview

As Head of Security at Heartbeat AI, you lead Team Trust to safeguard the software-enabled energy system that powers the transition to renewables. You own risk, compliance, and security as a product, guiding engineering and the business through complex, real-time energy infrastructure. You’ll shape the security framework, stay close to the tech, and communicate risk clearly to executives. This role offers hands-on leadership in a mission-critical, climate-focused startup environment.

Zentrale Anforderungen

Several years of experience in security engineering or security leadership
Technical background in cloud security, preferably Google Cloud Platform
Startup agility: built a security framework from scratch with limited resources
Regulatory knowledge: familiarity with NIST CSF and ISO 27001; ideally NIS2 and KRITIS
Strong communication skills to explain risk to engineers, product managers, and executives
Pragmatic, outcome-oriented working style
Excellent English; German is a plus
