As a partner in the Berlin Center for Gene and Cell Therapies (BC GCT), we are actively shaping the future of gene and cell therapies and expanding state‑of‑the‑art GMP production facilities in Berlin. Due to continued growth and investment strategy, we are expanding our viral vector capabilities and are seeking an experienced leader to build and drive a new Viral Vector Operations unit.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Viral Vector Operations unit
• Drive process development and GMP manufacturing for viral vector platforms (e.g. Lentivuru, MVA)
• Ensure reliable, scalable, and high‑quality GMP execution
• Oversee tech transfer, scale‑up, and manufacturing readiness
• Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and right‑first‑time performance
• Manage timelines, budgets, capacity planning, and resource allocation
• Act as senior interface for international clients and support business growth
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across process development and manufacturing

What you bring along

• PhD or MSc in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Virology, or related field
• 10 years of experience in viral vector process development and manufacturing
• Strong GMP and tech transfer expertise
• Proven leadership experience in biotech/CDMO environments
• Strong operational and client‑oriented mindset
• Experience scaling teams and manufacturing operations
