Health Visitor – North East Locality

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitor to join the NHS Children & Families Health Visiting service as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor. The role involves working with children and their families to provide a culturally sensitive, safe and person‑centred health visiting service in the community.

Role Details

• Two posts available (22.2 and 29.6 hours)
• Hours Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:30
• Permanent position
• Based at Townhead Health Centre, G31 2ES

Key Responsibilities

As a caseload manager you will deliver a high‑quality health visiting service, working collaboratively with partner agencies. Your responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the universal health visiting pathway and additional programmes of care, ensuring safe and effective support for children and families.

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered Nurse with the National Medical Council (NMC)
• Post‑registration qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Experience as a PHN/Health Visitor preferred
• Car driver with a current licence desirable
