Overview
We are looking for a new colleague to our Global lifting department in Offshore Wind. You will join a global diverse team of engineers situated in various places around the world, all working together towards a common goal to support projects with lifting solutions for the offshore market. In this role you will be responsible for the safe and successful planning and management of offshore lifting operations to a required standard and quality. You will develop safe systems of work by writing lift plans using given information and be able to draw, understand and implement AutoCAD files for lifting purposes.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Offshore Project Lifting activities within the project planning and execution phase.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety in all aspects of lifting operations, ensuring that safety protocols and best practices are integrated into the planning and execution of mobilization activities.
- Operational point of contact to Team Lead Heavy Lift Specialists in line within the Siemens Matrix for Lifting Operations.
- Construct safe systems of work by writing Lift Plans using given information and be able to draw, understand and implement AutoCAD files for lifting purposes.
- Manage the offshore project lifting activities, transport, pre‑assembly, loadout and installation, with external companies, internal departments and resource providers, towards the effective implementation of project program and contract requirements.
- Maintain and develop effective communication channels with various customers to ensure the safe and effective execution of the lifting plan.
- Be part of new developments in offshore Wind lifting methods.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in lifting within offshore wind / construction.
- Technical background and experience with lifting operations from offshore projects.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of managing lifting operations safety & compliance across geographical locations with varying local legal requirements and ability to comprehensively identify foreseeable hazards and develop mitigating control measures for offshore lifting operations activities.
- Experience working with vessels, crawler, quayside, davit and nacelle service cranes.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Demonstrates an analytical and problem‑solving approach to tackle difficult tasks throughout the process.
- Thrives in working in an international environment and demonstrates the ability to collaborate in teams situated across the globe. Excellent communicator in English.
