High Voltage Connector Project Engineer (m,f,d)

In this role you will lead the development of high power high voltage connectors and terminals for automotive applications, guiding concepts through to production. You will collaborate with design engineers, manage risk analyses, and shape testing and validation plans. The position offers cross-functional interaction and opportunities to influence R&D in the high voltage space. This is a growth-focused role within Molex’s engineering team, offering hands-on impact in a global tech environment.

• Lead HV connector and terminal concept development with minimal guidance
• Collaborate on 3D models/drawings per Molex standards and GD&T
• Plan and conduct DFMEA/FEA, tolerance analysis, and risk mitigation
• Document project scope, requirements, feasibility, and work plan
• Manage material selection for resins and metals used in components
• Develop HV connector test plans (DVP&Rs) and assess results statistically
• Lead failure analysis using structured problem-solving methods
• Serve as SME in HV automotive connector development
• Act as engineering voice to cross-functional teams and customers, guiding R&D opportunities

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years product design experience with depth in materials, mechanics, manufacturing processes, and engineering tools
• 2 years HV/high-current automotive connectors experience
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluent in German and English
