Mission description

Do you want to take your career to new heights? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HSE Manager to join our team and help us drive the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. Your mission: Reporting to the general manager of the Hamburg site and working closely with the HSE Manager of Safran Nacelles integration site, you will be responsible for implementing and promoting the Health Saftety Environment (HSE) and low‑carbon policy at the site. Your main responsibility is to ensure and strengthen compliance with HSE to advance the site's maturity in the areas of health, safety, the environment, and low‑carbon initiatives. You will work toward continuously improving the HSE culture, reducing workplace accidents, and minimizing environmental impact.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and group guidelines

  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on regulatory issues
  • Ensure compliance with the group's HSE and low‑carbon policies/standards and legal requirements
  • Maintain the site's classification and communicate with administrative authorities in line with changes in the site's operations
  • Support teams, with diligence and a spirit of cooperation, in implementing HSE requirements
  • Ensure that operational staff fulfill their HSE obligations and support them in defining and monitoring related action plans
  • Assist operational staff in identifying and assessing HSE risks
  • Establish monitoring systems and ensure reporting of HSE and low‑carbon indicators to the company and the Group
  • Propose, identify, and track corrective and preventive actions

Leading the development and implementation of the local HSE Operational Improvement Plan

  • Deploy group and company objectives by adapting them to the site's local context
  • Provide leadership, training, and operational support for HSE and low‑carbon initiatives at all levels of the organization
  • Develop a sustainable HSE and low‑carbon culture at the site, in line with the group's and company's vision
  • Develop, evaluate, recommend, and support improvements to processes and equipment to minimize risks to employee health and safety,
  • Ensure the identification of significant hazards and risks, as well as significant environmental aspects and impacts, and monitor them
  • Propose areas for improvement and local improvement initiatives
  • Establish HSE and low‑carbon action plans

Your skills

  • University degree in environmental science, occupational safety, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of proven professional experience in Health, Safety & Environment management, ideally within the aviation or industrial sector
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices in Germany as well as familiarity with low‑carbon and sustainability initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and managing incident investigations
  • Proficiency in using HSE management systems and relevant IT tools
