HSE Specialist (m/f/d)

To support our growing operations in the Düsseldrof area, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on HSE Specialist (Health, Safety & Environment) who thrives in a dynamic logistics environment.

Your Role

As an HSE Specialist (m/f/d), you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental standards across our logistics sites, sorting centers and transportation operations in the Rhein-Main region.

You will work closely with Operations, HR, Facility and external stakeholders to ensure safe working conditions, legal compliance and a strong safety culture.

Your Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and operational safety standards across logistics and warehouse operations
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments
• Identify potential hazards and develop preventive and corrective actions
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with German occupational health & safety regulations and environmental requirements
• Coordinate and deliver HSE trainings and safety briefings for employees and operations teams
• Support emergency response planning and fire protection measures
• Track HSE KPIs and prepare reports for management
• Collaborate with external service providers, authorities and auditors
• Promote a proactive safety culture within a fast-paced logistics environment
• Support PPE management and workplace ergonomics initiatives

Your Profile

• Degree or vocational qualification in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related field
• Experience in logistics, warehouse, transportation, parcel delivery or industrial operations
• Good understanding of German HSE legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience with risk assessments, incident management and operational audits
• Hands-on mentality and ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Structured and solution-oriented working style
• Fluent German and English required
• Chinese/Mandarin is a strong plus
• Willingness to travel within the Düsseldorf region
