The Role
Globe 24-7, in partnership with a leading international mining and metals company, is supporting the appointment of an HSEC (Health, Safety, Environment & Community) Assurance Specialist. The organisation operates across multiple jurisdictions and is committed to maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental, and community performance through robust governance, assurance, and continuous improvement practices.
The Responsibilities
- Conduct HSEC assurance and audit activities across assigned international sites.
- Collect, analyse, and evaluate data from multiple operations to support continuous improvement of HSEC standards and processes.
- Identify trends from audit and assurance findings and support the development and implementation of corrective actions at site level.
- Support the development and refinement of assurance processes, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
- Train and coach site teams on assurance methodologies, audit practices, and supporting systems and tools.
- Coordinate and align regional assurance programs, schedules, and activities to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Participate in and support assurance-related engagements with senior leadership.
- Act as a key interface between regional and site teams to ensure alignment on HSEC performance and improvement initiatives.
- Support the embedding of a proactive safety and assurance culture across operations.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Several years’ experience in Health, Safety, Environment & Community (HSEC) roles within industrial, mining, or heavy industry environments.
- Experience working across multiple sites within complex organisational structures.
- Strong understanding of assurance, audit, and continuous improvement processes.
- Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive improvement initiatives.
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in multicultural and unionised environments is advantageous.
- Professional HSE / HSEC certification is advantageous.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. German level B2 required.
- Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis.
