Import/Export Compliance Specialist

In this role you will validate and maintain tariff classifications and country of origin, support EU and global trade compliance, and help implement best practices for import/export operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory adherence, manage screening and sanctions checks, and assist with audits and program improvements. This position offers exposure to global trade processes and meaningful impact on regulatory compliance. You will engage with multiple offices and adapt to evolving trade requirements, contributing to safer and more compliant global operations.

• Monitor GTM system transactions and take action on holds
• Assign and validate HS/CN/TARIC classifications, ECCN classifications, and Country of Origin data
• Perform Restricted Party Screening and support export control and sanctions compliance
• Support daily import/export operations including documentation review and coordination with brokers
• Assist with FTA validations and other compliance documentation
• Support maintenance and continuous improvement of trade compliance programs and internal controls
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement required process updates
• Investigate shipment delays and documentation discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support trade compliance requirements
• Support audits and compliance reviews as assigned
• May travel up to 10%

• Minimum of three (3) years in Import/Export Customs Compliance
• Proficiency with HS/CN/TARIC, ECCN, and Country of Origin validation
• Proficiency with EU Dual-Use Regulation, export controls, and sanctions compliance
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and GTM systems
• Experience with Restricted Party Screening tools (Descartes, Kharon, or Securimate preferred)
• Experience supporting daily import/export operations and shipping/document review
• Excellent verbal and written English communication
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Desirable: experience in a multinational manufacturing/distribution company, especially medical device or pharmaceutical industry
