Industrial Management Support (d/f/m)
Industrial management team contributes directly to the Optical AIT Industrial strategy (TSMO) by driving performance and improvement within operational teams with direct contact with key stakeholders in a transnational team. With deep knowledge of operational business and lean principles, and shop-floor experience in manufacturing, you will address systemic operational performance issues with piloted, standardised & sustainable solutions through the Airbus standards, Airbus Operating model, Lean, continuous improvement tools and principles.

Your Task & Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to the Optical AIT industrial strategy by defining and deploying ways of working within operational teams and influencing management and teams (HO functions, Team Leaders, TSM transverses functions).
- Improve business efficiency and results achievement by advising plant stakeholders at discipline level on business priorities and how to make the most of the standards, methods and associated behaviours.
- Deploy business improvement / transformation road maps (Turnaround), participate in their update and trigger new Lean standards definition.
- Set up and support governance and steering at all levels (Ho, TL, Teams), securing a deployment roadmap (architecture, ensure roadmap content).
- Contribute to key Turnaround and Improvements projects in the frame of ad‑hoc Top Management Requests to ensure project outcomes are delivering tangible benefits for the company and enabling sustainable and long-term performance (CVAT, Skill matrix, SOI, E2E management, ...).
- Facilitate workshops on dedicated topics in complex situations or for training purposes (vision, VSM, business VSM, kaizen, etc.).
- Run and facilitate specific Gembas and shop floor exercises coaching management and teams.
- Lead industrial task forces: diagnosis, solution definition and implementation, results achievement (PPS, Lessons learn, Safety...).
- Design strategies for coaching, mentoring & training in regards to operations change management, Lean and new standards/tools (DDMS, SQCDP,...).
- Provide knowledge transfer from transversal function to local plant teams.
- Growing the knowledge and autonomy of teams by supporting the implementation of improvement solutions in manufacturing areas.
- Identify and elevate competence gaps to management.
- Promote the use of internal good practices and external benchmarking by acting transversally with the extended communities (TSMI, TSME, TSMT).
Desired skills and qualifications
- Completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, production management and industrialization principles.
- Proven experience 2/3+ in operations and lean/continuous improvement projects demonstrating tangible & sustainable results.
- Good communication skills, active listening and a proactive approach to problem solving & decision making.
- Strong ability to network locations, benchmark, and harmonise processes in an international team.
- Knowledge of AIT processes and technical know-how in the areas of mechanics, metrology, cleanroom operation.
- Proven coaching/training competencies, leadership, assertiveness to influence and challenge the status quo.
- Good knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing and lean problem solving.
- Experience in leading lean manufacturing workshops such as kaizen, VSM, 5S, etc.
- Coaching skills and experience with communication competences.
- Ability to inspire and give meaning.
- Aeronautical manufacturing basics.
- Fluency in English.
