Our newly opened Innovation Center in Dortmund is dedicated to R&D, technical service, and marketing. Here, Daikin Chemical Europe is conducting research on new and sustainable technologies like energy storage, new mobility and industrial manufacturing.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy for our battery and energy generation (e.g., hydrogen, solar, wind) segments.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and implementing short-, mid-, and long-term marketing roadmaps for the energy storage and generation program
• Conducting market and technical R&D analysis to identify industry trends, evaluate the competitive landscape and assess customer needs
• Building, maintaining, and managing a robust project portfolio pipeline aligned with established program goals
• Developing and maintaining technical marketing materials and supporting sales teams with customer-facing technical discussions and digital marketing channels
• Promoting and raising visibility of Daikin’s sustainability profile, specifically highlighting initiatives for the recycling of high-value fluorinated materials

Your profile

• University degree (MSc) in Chemistry, Material Science, Business Science, or an equivalent technical/commercial discipline
• Preferably 2-3 years of industrial or academic experience in the chemical or advanced materials industry
• Prior experience with supporting strategic programs and entering new product markets is a plus
• Application knowledge, and customer / industry understanding of battery cells would be advantageous
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to intensify customer intimacy and map value chains
• Self-motivated, proactive working style with entrepreneurial drive to support change
• Fluency in spoken and written English; German is optional
