A leading European defence technology business in Kiel is looking for an experienced Project Lead or Project Manager to plan, control and deliver complex software and system integration projects in the naval communications sector.

This is a technically embedded project leadership role — you will be working directly with engineering teams, managing cross‑functional dependencies and driving delivery on long‑term, structured programmes within an agile environment. The client develops sophisticated communications and electronics systems for defence customers worldwide.

Requirements & Experience

Several years of experience leading or managing complex IT or software projects end to end.
Solid understanding of agile and hybrid delivery methods.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and management levels.
Experience coordinating external partners, vendors or cross‑site teams.
Business‑fluent German is a firm requirement.
Right to work in Germany without employer sponsorship required.
Experience in the defence, maritime or safety‑critical sector and familiarity with naval systems or communications technology are a strong advantage.
