Role Purpose / Summary

The Inside Vendor Sales Specialist acts as the vendor-focused inside sales expert, mastering quoting tools, pricing logic, and compliance to deliver fast, accurate, and profitable quotations. This role ensures operational excellence in complex or multi‑vendor deals while driving margin optimization and supporting revenue growth. Success requires precision, responsiveness, and collaboration with Inside Account Managers, Vendor Success Managers, and Revenue Operations to accelerate deal velocity and maintain process discipline. Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and validate complex quotations using vendor‑specific tools and templates.
  • Ensure commercial accuracy and compliance with vendor pricing programs, rebates, and enterprise agreements.
  • Apply vendor promotions and optimize pricing to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
  • Maintain first‑time‑right accuracy and meet SLA turnaround times (<24h).

Business Planning & Forecasting

  • Provide clear visibility on pending quotes and expected closures to IAMs and VSMs.
  • Contribute to account planning and forecasting accuracy by updating CRM data.
  • Monitor margins and profitability by vendor and partner segment.
  • Qualify partner needs precisely and provide consultative guidance on configurations and licensing.
  • Proactively identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities during quote qualification.
  • Maintain partner satisfaction through responsiveness and quality support.

Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Work daily with IAMs, VSMs, and Revenue Operations to ensure seamless deal execution.
  • Coordinate with vendor sales desks for special bids and complex deal validation.
  • Guarantee clean handover from quotation to order processing.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain full CRM traceability of all quotations and interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor programs and internal governance standards.
  • Identify process improvements and share best practices to enhance efficiency.

Must‑Have Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in inside sales or vendor‑focused roles.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor pricing structures and quoting tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and digital sales platforms.
  • Language: English (business fluency).

Nice‑to‑Have Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with multi‑vendor IT distribution and channel sales.
  • Experience in campaign execution and digital engagement strategies.
  • Additional languages and international exposure.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Quotation turnaround time (<24h) and accuracy (>98%).
  • Revenue and margin attainment for managed vendors.
  • Forecast accuracy and pipeline coverage (≥3× target).
  • CRM data quality and compliance with governance standards.
  • Partner and vendor satisfaction scores.
