Interim Head of People Partners – Global

12-month interim assignment | Southern Germany or Switzerland | International scope

For a global technology and engineering organisation undergoing significant People & Culture transformation, we are looking for an experienced senior HR leader to take on a 12-month interim mandate leading the organisation's Local People Partner community.

The opportunity

The organisation is evolving its global People & Culture operating model and is looking for a senior leader who can bridge global strategy and governance with strong regional and local execution.

You will lead and enable the Local People Partner organisation across multiple countries, ensuring that global P&C frameworks translate into pragmatic and effective local practices.

This is not a purely strategic transformation role. We are looking for someone who combines senior-level business partnering and transformation experience with the ability to understand and steer operational topics such as HR service delivery, payroll outsourcing and local governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the international Local People Partner community
• Translate global P&C strategy, frameworks and governance into effective regional and local operating models
• Act as a senior sparring partner to business and P&C leadership
• Support the continued evolution of the global People & Culture operating model
• Clarify roles, responsibilities, decision rights and interfaces between global, regional and local P&C teams
• Drive transformation initiatives while ensuring strong operational execution
• Support topics such as HR service delivery, payroll outsourcing and process optimisation
• Strengthen consistency, accountability and collaboration across countries and regions
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments across Europe, Asia and other international markets

What we are looking for

• Significant experience as a Senior HR Business Partner, HR Director, VP HR, People Director, interim CPO/CHRO or in a comparable senior HR leadership role
• Strong foundation in HR business partnering, ideally gained in an international matrix organisation
• Proven HR transformation and operating-model experience
• Experience translating global frameworks into regional and local governance
• Sufficient operational depth to understand HR operations, payroll and outsourcing environmentsExperience leading or coordinating HR/People Partner communities across multiple countries
• Strong senior stakeholder management and change leadership capabilities
• International experience; exposure to different HR environments such as Europe, the UK, US and/or Asia is highly valuable
• Pragmatic, hands-on and comfortable moving between strategic and operational topics

Location & travel

The preferred base is Switzerland or Southern Germany, although other European locations may be considered for the right profile.

The role requires significant international travel, including regular travel to Asia, estimated at approximately 30–40%.

Assignment

This opportunity is offered exclusively as an interim assignment for approximately 12 months.
