To expand our manager network, we are looking for experienced professionals for project assignments across the DACH-Region, often also in an international context.

About the job

As Head of Value Creation, you will work closely with investors, boards and management teams of PE/VC-backed B2B SaaS, Software and Services companies to unlock growth, improve operational performance and accelerate value creation.

You will typically engage in situations involving rapid growth, business transformation, operational scaling, performance improvement, buy-and-build strategies, international expansion or preparation for exit. Depending on the specific mandate, you may act as strategic advisor, transformation lead, board-level sparring partner or interim executive.

Your focus is on translating strategic ambitions and investment theses into measurable business outcomes while building scalable structures, improving execution and creating sustainable enterprise value.

To expand our network, we are looking for experienced Heads of Value Creation for project-based and board-level assignments across the DACH region and selected European markets.

Typical mandates and projects

  • Develop and execute value creation plans aligned with investment objectives and business priorities
  • Drive growth, profitability and cash performance initiatives across portfolio companies
  • Lead transformation programs, organizational scaling efforts and operational improvement initiatives
  • Support management teams in defining strategic priorities and translating them into executable roadmaps
  • Establish performance management frameworks, KPI structures and reporting mechanisms for management, boards and investors
  • Identify and realize commercial, operational and financial improvement opportunities
  • Support buy-and-build strategies, M&A integration and synergy realization programs
  • Strengthen organizational capabilities, leadership effectiveness and governance structures
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives spanning commercial excellence, operations, finance, technology, product and customer functions
  • Act as trusted advisor to CEOs, executive teams and investors during critical growth and transformation phases
  • Support preparation for financing rounds, recapitalizations or exit processes

Your profile

  • Proven experience in driving value creation, transformation and business performance improvement in B2B SaaS, Software, Technology or Services environments
  • Senior leadership experience gained in operating roles, consulting, private equity portfolio operations, finance, strategy, transformation or related functions
  • Strong track record of leading complex initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels
  • Experience working with executive teams, boards, investors and other senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with a hands‑on execution mindset
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Entrepreneurial, outcome-oriented and comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-changing environments
  • Experience in PE- or VC-backed companies is advantageous but not mandatory
  • International experience and exposure to the DACH market are highly valued
  • Fluency in English is required; German and/or additional European languages are a plus

Engagement model and location

  • Project-based and mandate-based engagements with PE/VC funds and their portfolio companies
  • Focus on DACH, with additional projects across Europe
  • Flexible working model combining remote, hybrid and on-site assignments depending on project requirements
