Intern Valuation Team (f/m/d)

We are looking to hire an intern in the Valuation Team, part of AllianzGI’s Operations function. Your position will be mostly related to AllianzGI’s European fund range. It requires being first and foremost an expert on the subject of asset valuation. Further, cross‑cultural awareness is a must in a team with a global reach. The role is based in our Frankfurt office.

What You Do

• Support the team in validating external price quotes for financial instruments held in AllianzGI funds (e.g. Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, etc.)
• Monitor and analyze illiquid assets with infrequent or no trading activity, i.e. stale‑price assets
• Assist with streamlining daily processes
• Interact closely with internal parties involved in the asset pricing process (e.g. risk management, portfolio management, various custodian banks etc.)

What You Bring

• Student in Economics, Business Administration, (financial) Mathematics or a comparable degree with a strong focus on finance and capital markets
• Working experience within the financial industry, preferably at an asset manager/bank in a valuation group function will be an advantage
• Basic knowledge of financial instruments (i.e. OTC derivatives and fixed‑income products) as well as understanding of commonly applied mathematical valuation models, model sensitivities and input parameters
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Access) and experience with programming (e.g. VBA, Python)
• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
• High commitment, motivation and willingness to take on responsibility
• The ability to work independently as well as the ability to work flexibly in a team environment
• Very good team player with high motivation and positive work attitude
• Fluent in spoken and written English, near to or at a negotiation level. German is considered an advantage.
