Position Overview

Internal Communications Coordinator – Remote – Salary: $62,876 annually. We are seeking an Internal Communications Coordinator to enhance our organizational communication strategy. This role is critical in ensuring all employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company's goals and values. As a vital communications team member, you will create and disseminate content that fosters a positive workplace culture and keeps everyone connected, regardless of location.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation and Management: Develop, write, and edit engaging internal communications materials, including newsletters, announcements, and updates. Ensure all communications are clear, concise, and aligned with the company's tone and messaging strategy. Collaborate with various departments to gather content that reflects organizational initiatives and employee achievements.
• Communication Strategy Development: Assist in designing and implementing an internal communications strategy that supports employee engagement and information dissemination. Regular assessments of communication effectiveness through surveys and feedback are conducted to refine strategies continually.
• Employee Engagement: Create initiatives and campaigns that promote employee recognition, participation, and engagement across the organization. Coordinate virtual events, town halls, and forums to facilitate open dialogue between employees and leadership.
• Digital Communication Platforms: Manage and enhance internal communication platforms, including intranet sites and internal social media channels. Analyze engagement metrics to optimize content and improve user experience.
• Crisis Communication: Support the development of crisis communication plans, ensuring timely and accurate information is shared with employees. Act as a liaison between leadership and employees during change or uncertainty.
• Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to departmental leaders on effective internal communication practices. Develop training materials for employees to improve their understanding and usage of internal communication tools.
• Collaboration and Relationship Building: Foster relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure adequate information flow and department collaboration. Work closely with HR and leadership to communicate policies, procedures, and organizational changes.
• Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Establish feedback mechanisms to assess employee satisfaction with internal communications and identify areas for improvement. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in internal communications to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a similar role.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including intranets, email marketing, and social media.
• Strong analytical skills to assess communication effectiveness and derive actionable insights.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Experience with event planning and coordination is a plus.
