International Accountant

Munich area | HGB & US GAAP | International environment

We are currently supporting an internationally established technology business in strengthening its finance function at its Munich-area site.

The company operates in a highly specialised high-tech environment with a global footprint, resulting in a complex international accounting structure. The position sits within a growing organisation and offers the opportunity to take ownership within a structured, internationally oriented finance team.

The role would suit an experienced accountant who is comfortable operating in an international reporting environment and enjoys taking responsibility for end-to-end closing activities, while ensuring accuracy and transparency across financial processes. It combines hands‑on accounting with close interaction across an international group structure.

It is particularly well suited to someone who values stability, clear processes and a professional environment, while also appreciating the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of systems and standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements under HGB and US GAAP
• Management of day-to-day accounting activities across general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Preparation of VAT filings in both domestic and international contexts
• Intercompany reconciliations across an international group structure

Profile

• Completed qualification in accounting (e.g. Bilanzbuchhalter) or comparable background
• Experience within an international accounting environment is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of international standards, ideally with exposure to US GAAP
• Structured and reliable working style
• Fluent German and English
