Our International Graduate Trainee Programme offers you exciting insights and a thorough introduction to the diverse activities of a leading global reinsurer. This provides you with the exceptional opportunity to advance your expertise and drive your personal development.

Over a period of 24 months, including an international assignment, you will receive in‑depth training in underwriting as well as in professional, methodological and social skills. Your Job

Comprehensive underwriting of (casualty) treaty business, including risk assessment, pricing, wording with exposure to the full underwriting value chain
Drafting and negotiating (re)insurance contracts with clients, and analysing and assessing trends in the field of property and casualty reinsurance for facultative or treaty clients
Experience the opportunities and insights offered by one of the world's leading risk managers
Participate in an international assignment of 12 weeks to broaden your intercultural experience
Acquire profound knowledge of our business as well as further developing your soft skills in our distinguished global learning programme
Take the opportunity to quickly build a broad network of industry experts within Munich Re worldwide

Your Profile

Very good university degree in economics, business administration, finance or a similar degree
Initial work experience (e.g. internships or up to two years of work experience after graduation), ideally in the (re)insurance or financial sector
Strong analytical skills, programming skills and/or data analytics skills (e.g. R, SQL, Python, Power BI, VBA) are very beneficial
At least three months experience abroad (studies or internship/work experience abroad)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to learn
Strong written and verbal communication in English required, additional languages are an advantage (German or Spanish)
