International Sales Manager Port Machinery

As part of our continued expansion in Europe, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven International Sales Manager to strengthen our position in the port machinery market.

Position Overview

The International Sales Manager - Port Machinery will be responsible for developing and managing key customer relationships within the port, terminal, and heavy lifting sectors. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding SANY's port machinery market presence, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering sustainable revenue growth.

We are recruiting for the following locations:

• Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg)
• Germany

The role requires regular travel across the assigned region to engage with customers and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic key accounts, including terminal operators, port authorities, stevedoring companies, and heavy lifting contractors.
• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for port machinery, including material handlers, telescopic handlers, heavy forklifts, reach stackers, and empty container handlers.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including customer visits, solution presentations, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
• Understand customer business needs and provide tailored equipment and service solutions.
• Collaborate closely with dealers, distributors, service teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop account growth strategies and execute business plans to achieve sales targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to support business development initiatives.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and account performance reviews.
• Represent SANY at industry exhibitions, customer events, and networking activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of Key Account Management, B2B Sales, or Business Development experience within port equipment, heavy lifting equipment, or related industries.
• Proven expertise in port machinery, including material handlers, telescopic handlers, heavy forklifts, reach stackers, or empty container handlers.
• Experience with heavy equipment in the 8-10 tonne and above range.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent relationship management and customer-facing capabilities.
• Fluent in Dutch and English for the Benelux position; fluent in German and English for the Germany position.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing network within port terminals, stevedoring companies, or heavy lifting contractors.
• Experience working in an international or matrix organization.
• Knowledge of financing, leasing, or equipment rental solutions.
