Investment Manager

In this Investment Manager role you will support the growth of a German platform by leading financial analysis, deal execution and portfolio initiatives. You will work with senior leadership on acquisitions, financings and strategic projects across Germany and wider Europe. You’ll build robust financial models for solar, wind and storage assets and coordinate due diligence with technical, legal and commercial teams. Your work will influence investment decisions and help optimise project value within a dynamic energy transition environment.

• Lead financial analysis and valuation of renewable energy and storage opportunities in Germany
• Support acquisitions, joint ventures, structured investments and project sales processes
• Build and maintain detailed financial models for solar, wind and BESS assets
• Coordinate due diligence across technical, legal, tax, insurance and commercial workstreams
• Assist in negotiating transaction documents with external advisors
• Conduct market analysis on German power markets, PPAs and ancillary services
• Evaluate project economics, revenue assumptions and optimisation strategies
• Support investment committee materials and internal approvals
• Monitor market trends, regulation and competitive landscape within the German energy transition sector
• Collaborate with development, origination and asset management teams to optimise project value
• Support financing/refinancing activities with banks and institutional investors
• Assist with strategic partnerships and capital raising discussions
• Track project performance and support portfolio-level reporting
• Engage with lenders, advisors, utilities, investors and counterparties on active transactions
• Build relationships with infrastructure investors, IPPs, developers and strategic partners across Europe
• Present investment opportunities and commercial recommendations to senior leadership

• 4–8 years in infrastructure investment, renewable energy, project finance, M&A, corporate development or investment banking
• Experience with renewable energy transactions (solar, storage, wind)
• Experience in IPP/developer, infrastructure fund, advisory boutique or energy-focused investment bank preferred
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities
• Strong understanding of project finance structures and energy market dynamics
• Familiarity with PPAs, merchant exposure, revenue modelling and German energy regulation
• Strong commercial acumen with risk and value-creation assessment
