The Berlin location is a recent addition to our network of tech centres and is growing rapidly. Trade Finance and Lending is a leading business department in Corporate Banking, working with clients worldwide. It relies heavily on IT platforms to serve the bank’s clients. The group is working on a technology refresh of their IT platform to enable new services for customers and to achieve a higher level of business process automation.

The IT Application Owner (ITAO) is an expert with in‑depth functional and technical knowledge of the application. The role manages and maintains the application, ensuring compliance with applicable IT policies, information security policies, and governance requirements.

As a Release Manager you will own the entire software delivery lifecycle, planning and coordinating releases from development to deployment. Responsibilities include defining release scope, schedules, and readiness criteria, and managing dependencies and environments.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Application Governance, Policy Compliance & Controls – enforce governance processes for changes, including documentation, approvals, risk assessment, roll‑back plans, recertifications and periodic control activities (e.g., user/role reviews).
  • Audit and Regulatory Readiness – coordinate external and internal audit requests, ensure timely delivery of required evidence and remediation actions, and own escalation and resolution for findings related to non‑compliance.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) & Resilience – plan, conduct, and support DR exercises and activities.
  • Planning, Coordination & Execution – define release scope, deployment approach, environments, and milestones; ensure changes follow required workflow and approvals, and maintain traceability through tools and documentation.
  • Stakeholder Management, Communication & Coordination – provide regular, structured communication to stakeholders (business, product owners, IT leadership, operations).

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Several years of experience in large teams, automating deployment, smoke‑testing, monitoring, and setting up SRE tooling.
  • Strong understanding of the modern SDLC tool stack, including Bitbucket, Jira, Artifactory, TeamCity, and similar platforms.
  • Solid technical background in infrastructure: servers, storages, networks, middleware, databases.
  • Hands‑on experience with tech audit, cloud deployment, and GCP in particular.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.
