IT Consultant – Governance, Risk & Compliance Technology

Responsibilities

• You continuously engage with current national and international regulatory requirements for the financial sector, in particular rules from BaFin and the European Union (ECB, ESAs, etc.).
• You advise clients in the financial services environment on IT compliance, risk, control and IT‑governance topics and support them in implementing regulatory requirements.
• You perform gap analyses comparing regulatory requirements with existing operational processes, derive concrete measures and accompany the implementation of regulatory requirements – from business classification to execution.
• You support clients in building and further developing robust governance structures, aligning your approach with relevant frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL or comparable frameworks and market standards.
• You support business development activities, for example by preparing proposals or helping to develop client relationships.
• You examine the use of AI applications in governance, risk and compliance topics and develop approaches for how these can be used sensibly and efficiently in consulting projects.

Requirements

• You have successfully completed your studies in (business) computer science, business administration, law, or a comparable discipline.
• You bring at least three years of professional experience in auditing, consulting, or operating processes in the IT/ICT area of financial institutions and already have initial experience in IT governance, IT risks and controls, IT compliance, as well as in conducting regulatory‑driven transformation projects.
• You have a good understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial industry and can accurately assess complex technical content and communicate it clearly, professionally and understandably.
• You are familiar with relevant standards and frameworks in the governance, risk and compliance area, e.g. COBIT, ITIL or comparable approaches.
• You are characterized by a confident and composed manner as well as excellent communication skills.
• You have very good German and English language skills. Additional languages are a plus!
