IT On-Site Support Engineer (m/f/d) Frankfurt

About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and proactive IT On-Site Support Engineer to join our local team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all on-site IT operations, ensuring the seamless functionality of our office infrastructure and maintaining high security standards. You will bridge the gap between local needs and our global IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-site IT Support: Manage day-to-day IT support requests (endpoints, user accounts, software, network, and AV/conference room equipment). Ensure timely resolution and adherence to defined SLAs.
2. Network Troubleshooting: Act as the local first responder for network-related issues (wired/wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP). Perform initial diagnostics and coordinate with Tier 2/HQ teams for complex escalations.
3. Infrastructure Operations: Perform hands-on maintenance for local hardware (rack-and-stack, routine inspections, and RMA processes).
4. Security Implementation: Implement and enforce HQ-issued security policies, including EDR/AV management, network access control, and MFA protocols.
5. Security Incident Response: Serve as the local point of contact for security incidents, assisting in initial investigation, containment, and remediation efforts.
6. Cloud & Collaboration: Support the operation of local cloud resources and collaborate effectively with international IT teams while maintaining local operational excellence.
7. Standby Duty: Participation in a scheduled after-hours and emergency response rotation is required.

Qualifications

1. Education & Experience: A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is a plus; however, we welcome applicants with equivalent professional experience and a strong technical background. 2+ years of relevant experience in IT on-site support or operations are required.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, Wireshark). Experience with SCCM, Intune, GPO, MDM, SSO, MFA, VPN, and Zero-trust architectures.
3. Security & Scripting: Capability to execute and monitor security compliance policies. Basic scripting skills for automation (Shell, PowerShell, or Python) and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
4. Language & Soft Skills: Proficient in English. A strong service-oriented mindset, analytical problem-solving skills, and a high level of security awareness.
