In this role you apply AI and advanced analytics to support and evolve the MIC infrastructure at EUMETSAT, enabling AI-driven operations and automation. You will deploy AI workloads on Kubernetes and cloud platforms, work on AI-enabled infrastructure, and contribute to architecture assessments and proof-of-concepts. You join a cross-functional, mission-driven team delivering 24x7 infrastructure services and modernising with container-based, AI-assisted operations. Your work shapes how AI and automation drive operational efficiency and reliability in a hybrid environment.

- Apply AI and analytics techniques to infrastructure operations (anomaly detection, log analysis, predictive monitoring)
- Deploy and operate AI workloads on Kubernetes and cloud platforms
- Enable and evolve AI/ML infrastructure (GPU/vGPU, AI frameworks, data pipelines)
- Integrate AI capabilities with CI/CD for infrastructure-as-code
- Conduct proof-of-concepts, benchmarking and architecture assessments for new AI technologies
- Support AI-assisted tooling to improve scripting, documentation and knowledge stability
- Participate in standby/on-call rotations and on-site/remote support as needed
- Experience applying AI or advanced analytics to infrastructure operations
- Experience deploying AI workloads on Kubernetes or cloud platforms
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (training, evaluation, deployment) is advantageous
- Advanced Linux administration and automation scripting (Bash, Python)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 5+ years of experience
- Good written and verbal English communication
- Knowledge of ITIL service management processes (incident, change, problem)
- Willingness to participate in on-call and off-hours as agreed
