Together, we develop sustainable technologies and thus contribute to solving global challenges.
The Space Flight Operations and Astronaut Training Department is the central institution for German space activities – from satellite missions for Earth observation, communication and space security, through to manned spaceflight, high‑altitude research and exploration. We also work on innovative technologies to ensure we can master even the most challenging space projects of the future.
The Astronaut Training Department is fully integrated into the EAC team (European Astronaut Centre Team of the European Space Agency, ESA) under a cooperative agreement between DLR e.V. and ESA. The EAC team supports the three core areas of astronaut management, training and medical care, as well as the operation of the ISS ground segment at the EAC. We look forward to getting to know you!
