About the role

Senior KDB Developer – London headquarters. This dynamic role works closely with front‑office traders and quants, contributing to the design, development and support of our data collections. The position supports a hybrid working model, with the option to work remotely up to two days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enhance and develop analytics to provide transparency and insights for management and front‑office teams.
• Develop data ingestion processes to curate, collect and store large volumes of internal trading and external market data.
• Create and optimise a data‑access framework for real‑time dashboards, execution analytics and market micro‑structure research.
• Design and build CEP processes to monitor data anomalies and generate signals.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and enhance system robustness, efficiency and cost.
• Engage in the entire software lifecycle: research, piloting, implementation, comprehensive testing, release and post‑release support.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ professional data/analytics development.
• Strong expertise in KDB+/q.
• Solid Linux system engineering with low‑level network and kernel knowledge.
• Experience with large storage management, distribution and fault recovery.
• AWS service and Kubernetes configuration.
• Level 1 / 2 / 3 market data handling.
• Big data optimisation, analysis and visualisation.
• Continuous integration and clean, efficient coding practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Python / Java programming.
• Kafka / Redis experience.
• KX Dashboard / Grafana / Jupyter knowledge.
• Docker container build and management.
• Cloud‑based KDB+ deployment.
• Low‑latency / high‑frequency trading.
• Knowledge of crypto, FX and options.
