IT Systems Administrator

Koblenz University of Applied Sciences ( with campuses in Koblenz, Remagen, and Höhr-Grenzhausen, offers teaching, continuing education, and applied research through a comprehensive range of on-campus and distance learning programs.

Your Responsibilities

• Assistance with 1st and 2nd level support
• Collaboration on and implementation of IT projects
• Software procurement, including license management
• Administration of the IT systems of the University Center for Information and Media Technology and the local network at the Koblenz and Höhr-Grenzhausen campuses
• Technical support in administration, research, and teaching, including independent selection and procurement of hardware and software
• Consulting and training for employees, as well as creating employee guidelines
• Interface management between local network architecture and media technology at all three university locations

Your Profile

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist in the field of system integration or comparable relevant vocational training

• In-depth technical knowledge in the following areas

• - Hardware/Software
• - Windows operating systems
• • Class B driver’s license
• • Very good written and spoken German (language level: at least C1)
• • Good English language skills (language level: at least B2)
• • Quick learner, team player, and customer-oriented
