Project Description

The project focuses on a core data platform that processes large volumes of user and device data and provides it to analytics, advertising, and real-time systems. The team is modernizing the existing batch-processing solution by building a new streaming-based architecture designed for faster, more scalable, and reliable data processing.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation to production deployment and support;


• Design and implement scalable big data solutions using Java, contributing to the platform’s infrastructure and architecture;


• Lead complex technical initiatives that directly impact the company’s core business;


• Mentor other developers and support them in solving complex technical challenges;


• Research and evaluate core technologies, external APIs, and third-party service integrations;


• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, data providers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions;

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience with Java;


• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures;


• Hands‑on experience with Kafka, streaming systems, and microservices;


• Production experience with big data technologies;


• Experience with SQL databases;


• Experience designing, developing, and scaling high-load systems;


• Ability and willingness to investigate and work with an existing legacy codebase;


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate production issues and understand both technical components and related business processes;


• Proactive and reliable approach to solving problems, proposing improvements, and introducing new technical solutions;


• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented and ego-free mindset;


• English level: B1 or higher, with the ability to communicate clearly in meetings;


• Willingness to participate in an off‑hours PagerDuty rotation;

Nice To Have

• Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, or MapReduce;


• Experience with Kubernetes;


• Familiarity with GitLab, Grafana, InfluxDB, Apache Airflow, Redis, or Scala;
