Overview

The Eastern Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County is seeking a senior controller for a permanent position starting from September 1, 2026, or as agreed. The role is part of the Financial Services unit under the financial manager and will serve as an independent financial partner supporting top management with budgeting, reporting, forecasting and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare and oversee budgets, financial reports and forecasts.
Conduct cost analyses including pricing of products and services, comparison of in-house production versus external services, and support for procurement and contract management.
Manage accounting and reporting tasks across the organization.
Analyze cost structures in social and health care and rescue services, and analyze statistical data.
Provide insights to control and reduce service operation costs through data-driven management.
Participate in defining operational and strategic key performance indicators and data production.
Engage in management team activities and support leadership in development work, strategic decisions and risk assessment based on financial and operational analyses.
Substitute for a supervisor when required.

Qualifications

Higher education degree in finance (MSc, DI, or Bachelor of Business Administration).
Minimum five years of experience in similar roles demanding internal accounting or comparable analytical financial tasks.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in one native language.
Good oral communication skills in an additional native language.
Proficiency with financial tools such as MS Excel and Power BI (advantage).

Employment Details

Position: permanent (trial period of six months).
Work hours: 36 hours and 15 minutes per week, daytime.
Location: Porvoo with flexible remote work options.
Salary: €4,663.75 per month, plus additional pay based on experience under the HYVTES collective agreement.
