Responsibilities

• Taking end-to-end ownership of the entire feature development process—from contributing ideas for new features, writing clean code, and testing, to deploying and monitoring services.
• Working closely with teammates in an agile setup, actively participating in team ceremonies to deliver high‑impact tools that reduce friction and accelerate issue resolution.
• Implementing robust and scalable microservices that meet the needs of a growing user base while adhering to industry best practices.
• Maintaining system reliability through thoughtful monitoring, alerting, and continuous delivery practices.
• Exploring the application of AI and foundational models (e.g., Claude) to enhance operational efficiency and support intelligent automation across internal processes.
• Participating in knowledge sharing and collaboration within the technical domain, and continuously improving skills to bring fresh ideas to the team.
• Being part of a culture that values quality, pragmatism, transparency, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of backend development experience, comfortable with Kotlin, Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, and Kafka—or confidence in learning them.
• Interest in building scalable web applications, including RESTful APIs and event‑driven architectures; comfortable with transactions, resiliency, and system performance.
• Knowledge of testing practices across the software development life cycle—unit, integration, and system testing.
• Ownership mindset, seeking opportunities to improve code quality, system design, and delivery processes.
• Enjoyment of collaborative, cross‑functional teamwork and valuing knowledge sharing and open communication.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and enjoyment of solving both technical and product‑related challenges.
