Junior Cloud & DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Specialist

• Represent DCS to internal project teams
• Assess application architectures and demonstrate platform capabilities
• Guide teams through application containerization
• Write Dockerfiles/Podman specs, Kubernetes manifests, and Helm charts
• Set up ArgoCD GitOps pipelines
• Conduct hands‑on coding sessions, office hours, and workshops
• Upskill developers in Kubernetes, OpenShift, and modern CI/CD practices
• Gather developer feedback and friction points
• Define actionable technical requirements for the core DCS Platform team
• Build developer‑friendly quick‑start guides, GitOps templates, and sample repositories
• Foster internal cloud‑native developer communities

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• Practical programming experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js)
• Strong understanding of modern application architectures
• Proven expertise with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift platforms
• Practical experience or strong knowledge of GitOps principles, ArgoCD, and modern CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitLab CI)
• Strong interpersonal, teaching, and presentation capabilities
• Fluent English AND German
• Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity
