Junior PHP Developer - Fintech (m/w/d)

Finished university, gained your first hands-on PHP experience, and ready to build software that actually matters?

We're working with a fast-growing technology business within the banking sector that's looking for ambitious Junior PHP Developers to join its engineering teams in Frankfurt.

You'll work on real products across cards and payments , learn directly from experienced developers and Team Leads, and gradually take ownership of increasingly complex projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and improve PHP applications for banking and payment products
• Build new features rather than focusing purely on maintenance
• Work on projects across cards, payments and digital banking
• Learn directly from experienced Team Leads and engineers
• Collaborate with Project Managers as new projects move into development
• Take increasing ownership as your technical skills develop
• Use AI development tools to support coding, debugging and problem-solving
• Contribute your own ideas to the continued development of the products

What We're Looking For:

• A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
• Academic grade of approximately 2.5 or better within the German grading system
• First professional experience developing with PHP
• Hands-on experience from internships, working-student positions or commercial software projects
• Evidence that you've already built and delivered real development projects
• Interest in AI and modern software development tools
• Ambitious, curious and willing to learn quickly
• German C1+ – mandatory
• Based in Frankfurt or genuinely willing to relocate
• Happy to work from the Frankfurt office 3 days per week
